At Seema Raffat, every piece is created with care, intention and attention to detail. Our collections include made-to-measure, bespoke and handcrafted pieces, many of which are produced specifically for each client. Because of the personalised nature of our creations, we do not accept returns or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect selection, or circumstances unrelated to a verified manufacturing defect.
We encourage you to carefully review your order details, measurements, colour selections and design specifications before confirming your purchase. For bespoke orders, our team will work with you throughout the consultation and approval process to ensure that the final piece reflects your requirements.
1. General Returns & Exchanges
1.1 No Returns or Exchanges
All orders placed with Seema Raffat are considered final sale. We do not accept returns or exchanges where:
-
You have changed your mind after placing the order.
-
You no longer require the item.
-
The colour, fabric, silhouette or design differs from your personal preference after approval.
-
You have ordered the incorrect size or provided incorrect measurements.
-
The item has been worn, altered, washed, damaged or otherwise used after delivery.
-
The item has been purchased as a bespoke or personalised creation and production has commenced.
-
The item does not meet expectations that differ from the approved design, mock-up, fabric selection or specifications.
This policy applies to both domestic and international orders.
1.2 Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Orders
Bespoke and made-to-measure pieces are created specifically for the individual client and therefore cannot ordinarily be returned or exchanged once production has commenced.
Before production begins, we will confirm the agreed design, fabric, colour, measurements and other relevant specifications with you. Once approved, the order will proceed to production.
2. Defective or Incorrect Products
We take great care to ensure that every Seema Raffat creation meets our standards of craftsmanship before it leaves our atelier.
If you believe your order has arrived with a manufacturing defect, significant workmanship issue, or an error attributable to Seema Raffat, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order.
To help us assess your claim, please provide:
-
Your order number or order reference.
-
A description of the issue.
-
Clear photographs and/or video showing the defect.
-
Photographs of the packaging where relevant.
-
Any other information requested by our client-care team.
Please do not wear, alter, wash, repair or otherwise modify the garment before contacting us, as this may affect our ability to assess the issue.
2.1 Assessment of the Claim
Once we receive your claim, our team will review the information provided and, where necessary, request that the item be returned to our atelier for inspection.
A claim will only be considered a manufacturing defect where the issue is determined to have resulted from an error in workmanship, production or an incorrect item being supplied by Seema Raffat.
Normal characteristics of handcrafted garments, including minor variations in embroidery, texture, colour, embellishment or finishing, are not necessarily considered defects and may be inherent to the artisanal nature of the product.
2.2 Resolution
If a manufacturing defect or error is verified, Seema Raffat may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law:
-
Repair the item;
-
Correct or remake the affected portion;
-
Replace the item where reasonably possible; or
-
Provide another appropriate resolution where repair or replacement is not reasonably practicable.
Cash refunds are not ordinarily provided, except where required by applicable law or where Seema Raffat determines that a refund is the appropriate resolution.
For international orders, any return or replacement process will be discussed individually with the client, including applicable shipping and customs arrangements.
3. Items Damaged After Delivery
Seema Raffat is not responsible for damage resulting from:
-
Normal wear and tear;
-
Improper washing, cleaning or storage;
-
Alterations or modifications made by the customer or a third party;
-
Incorrect handling or use;
-
Accidental damage;
-
Damage caused after delivery by a third party.
We recommend following the care instructions provided with your garment to preserve its quality and craftsmanship.
4. Order Cancellation
4.1 Cancellation Window
A cancellation request may be submitted within 24 hours of placing an order.
Cancellation requests must be made by contacting our client-care team as soon as possible and providing your order number.
Cancellation requests are subject to approval and cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered production, been customised, or been dispatched.
4.2 Bespoke & Personalised Orders
Once work has commenced on a bespoke, made-to-measure or personalised order, cancellation may no longer be possible due to the materials, craftsmanship and production time committed specifically to your order.
This includes orders where fabric has been purchased, embroidery has commenced, materials have been cut, or other production work has begun.
4.3 Approved Cancellations
Where a cancellation is approved before production has commenced, Seema Raffat may issue store credit rather than a cash refund.
Store credit will be issued for the eligible amount and may be subject to the terms communicated at the time of cancellation.
5. Sale & Promotional Items
Items purchased during a sale, promotional event or marked as Final Sale are not eligible for return or exchange, except where required by applicable law or where the product is confirmed to have a manufacturing defect attributable to Seema Raffat.
6. International Orders
International customers are responsible for reviewing their order details, measurements and shipping information carefully before placing an order.
Seema Raffat does not accept returns or exchanges simply because an international customer changes their mind or is dissatisfied with an item that has been produced according to the approved specifications.
Where a verified manufacturing defect is established, our team will work with the customer to determine the appropriate resolution.
Any customs duties, import taxes or other charges imposed by the destination country are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated at checkout.
7. Final Decision
Seema Raffat reserves the right to assess each reported issue individually and determine whether it constitutes a manufacturing defect or production error.
Any resolution will be provided in accordance with this policy and applicable consumer protection laws.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.
